About Mitra Foundation
Mitra Foundation was started in 2013 as an ode to our friend, Shakti Shankar Rath whose sudden demise made us realise the fragility of life. We are a non-profit organization working for the families of terminally ill cancer patients. We have different funds with well-defined objectives and a dedicated set of volunteers.We are committed to do more and help as many more people and initiatives that we can under the umbrella of Mitra Foundation.
- This initiative supports families of terminally ill cancer patients, focusing on education, sustenance, and livelihood after the breadwinner’s loss.
- This initiative provides scholarships to meritorious students from economically challenged families to pursue professional courses at the undergraduate level.
- Enabling LBS Nagar residents to support others through education, healthcare, and empowerment

Providing groceries for first 3 months to the bereaved families and procuring necessary equipments like sewing machine, Vegetable carts etc.for livelihood.
